On bigger intersections you get about 25 seconds to cross the street before the red hand starts flashing on smaller crossings you lucky if you get 20 seconds.
I walk pretty fast so I usually have some seconds to spare but I watch some of the older or handicapped people trying to cross the street and it's pretty sad[em]sad[/em].
